Story: Having left the TARDIS two months earlier, Amy and Rory are enjoying a relaxing afternoon at home when a mysterious invitation arrives, on TARDIS-blue stationery, with date, time and location coordinates. Intrigued, the couple dutifully travel to the Utah desert, where they meet the Doctor - now 1,103, almost 200 years older than when they last met him - and River Song. The Doctor takes them for a lakeside picnic, where the tranquillity is shattered when a figure in a 1960s spacesuit appears in the lake's shallow waters, and shoots one of them dead with a strange green energy weapon, before vanishing.

Understandably traumatized, the others soon decide that they must take the TARDIS back to 1969, the year of the moon landing, in a desperate attempt to track down the deadly astronaut. Their quest takes them from Utah to Washington DC and Cape Canaveral, teaming them up with an FBI agent who was drummed out of the Bureau, and pitting them against an alien race called the Silence, who embody the phrase "out of sight, out of mind"...
