Story: While the TARDIS hovers in deep space, its occupants hear a knocking on the door. When the Doctor takes a peek outside, he finds a glowing message cube... but not just any message cube. This particular message was sent by the Corsair, a Time Lord formerly of the Doctor's acquaintance... and according to the message, he's alive.

Giddy with glee at the prospect of finding a living Time Lord again — a good, non-corrupt, living Time Lord — the Doctor hurriedly plots a course to the source of the message: a small planetoid just on the other side of a rift leading to a small bubble universe. The planetoid is a strange place, a junkyard in the middle of empty space, populated by a kooky-but-kindly middle-aged couple, their Ood servant, and a madwoman who likes to kiss people. And bite them. As the Doctor searches for not just the Corsair, but potentially a small Time Lord colony, he discovers that no-one on the planetoid is exactly what they appear to be.
