Story: The TARDIS finally delivers Ryan, Yaz and Graham to Sheffield, with spot-on aim: it materializes right outside Yaz' flat. The Doctor reluctantly prepares to say goodbye to her newfound friends, and leaps at the opportunity when Yaz invites her to stay for tea. But a nearby mystery piques her curiosity when, in attempting to retrieve a package for Yaz' family from the flat two doors down, the Doctor discovers that a woman in the building has died, suffocated by webbing in the middle of a cobweb-covered room. And the eight-legged perpetrator is still inside her home...

With the help of local spider researcher Dr Jade McIntyre, the TARDIS crew learn that several deaths across the city have recently been caused by larger-than-average spiders, an epidemic which seems to be centered on the luxury hotel where Yaz' mum now works. Venturing into the hotel, the Doctor and her friends soon realize that gigantic arachnoid threats lurk around every corner, and they'll have to figure out the secret behind the spiders' sudden growth before they're all picked off one by one...
