Story: In her teens, Belinda Chandra had a rather serious relationship with a boy named Alan. He was kind of a huge controlling sexist jerk, but he did have some thoughtful moments, like naming a star after her. Still, not all relationships are meant to last, and for one reason or another, theirs didn't.

Seventeen years later, Belinda has found her passion, working as a nurse in the hospital emergency room, making a real difference in her patients' lives. But one night, her predictable yet rewarding life is upended when a silver rocketship lands in her back garden, disgorging a phalanx of robots who have evidently been sent to find... her. Belinda Chandra, their queen. Regrettably, the Doctor — who's been searching for Belinda — arrives on the scene just moments after the rocketship has left Earth, conveying Belinda to her new royal destiny. But surely, being crowned the Queen of Outer Space is bound to come with some downsides?
