Story: To take another reading for the Vindicator, the Doctor materializes the TARDIS on board a troop ship, where the soldiers are imminently preparing for a space jump — into which the Doctor and Belinda get unwittingly dragged, outfitted with helmets and ejected into outer space before they've even had a chance to protest.

Their freefall brings them to the surface of planet 6767, where a mining base has gone radio-silent within the last 15 days. Charged to investigate, the soldiers reluctantly decide to trust Belinda and the Doctor, who feels certain that no indigenous lifeform could have attacked the miners because the planet is imbued with deadly galvanic radiation... so what could have happened to them? Upon infiltrating Colony Base 15, the troopers find it abandoned, except for one survivor: the cook, Aliss, a Deaf woman who witnessed all of her colleagues killing one another, and inexplicably smashing all of the mirrors. And then Belinda starts to see things moving in the shadows...
