Story: When Rose expresses an interest in seeing the future, the Doctor persuades her to visit the year five billion, moments before the Sun begins to expand and swallow the Earth. Also in attendance on the observation station Platform One are dozens of wealthy aliens, present to pay their respects to the dying planet.
Rose, experiencing deep culture shock, suddenly realizes what a dangerous situation she has gotten herself into, jumping aboard a time-ship with an alien man who is practically a complete stranger - but there are other dangers aboard Platform One that are much more immediate. One of the alien delegations wants all the others dead, and to that end, they have released a horde of deadly spiderlike drones all across the station...
