Story: When the TARDIS crash-lands in London, Rose has the chance to spend Christmas with her family. But the holiday is far from joyful, because the Doctor has fallen unconscious in the Tylers' apartment and Rose is forced to deal with the fact that her best friend has just changed both his face and his personality. Things get even worse when Rose and her family are viciously attacked by murderous Christmas paraphernalia intent on stealing the Doctor away.

But this is just the beginning, for soon the entire Earth finds itself under attack by an aggressive alien species who intends to conquer the planet - and if the Prime Minister refuses to agree to their request, they have a trick up their sleeve which is certain to persuade her. With the Doctor comatose and on the verge of death, even Rose despairs that this may finally be the end of the Earth.
